Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about Kryoo, the agents, and the Workspace.
What exactly is Kryoo?
Kryoo is a platform for shipping operations, a shared shipment record worked by specialised AI agents that handle coordination, customs, documentation, audits, and disputes, with Watchtower monitoring every shipment continuously. Your team reviews and approves, and the agents do the routine work.
Who sees the documents I upload?
Your shipment documents are yours. They are visible only to your company and the counterparties you explicitly share a shipment with. They are never shared with other customers, never sold, and never used to train shared models.
What is the Kryoo Workspace?
The Workspace is where you and your counterparties see and manage shipments: documents, milestones, agent activity, alerts, and recoveries, with permissions controlling what each side can view and approve.
Do the agents replace my brokers and agents?
No. Filings that require licensed professionals, such as customs entries, are prepared by Kryoo and filed through licensed brokers, yours or ours. Kryoo removes the preparation and chasing work, not the licensed responsibility.
How is Kryoo priced?
Per shipment, never per seat. Harbor is free forever, Launch starts at $99 a month, Voyage at $349 a month, and Kryoo Recover carries a 20% success fee billed only on settlement. Full tiers and regional pricing are on the pricing page.
Which trade lanes do you support?
Coverage is global. Monitoring, audit, and recovery work on any trade lane, and dual-country customs depth is added corridor by corridor as customers bring their lanes.
Do you cover air cargo as well as ocean?
Yes. Ocean freight is our primary focus, because that is where demurrage, detention, disbursement, and carrier surcharge leakage concentrates, and air cargo is fully supported alongside it. The same engine that audits ocean freight invoices and Bills of Entry reads air waybills and airline invoices line by line against your rates and applicable tariffs. Most of what leaks in shipping leaks on paper, and paper is paper in both modes.
Can Kryoo recover government refunds and incentives?
Yes. Beyond carrier charges, Kryoo checks the government side of every export, stuck IGST refunds, RoDTEP scrolls, delayed duty drawback with claimable interest, and preferential tariff rates your entries never claimed under agreements like the India UAE CEPA. Claim packages are prepared for your review, and the same success fee applies, you pay only when money actually arrives.
What is a carbon surcharge audit?
Carriers now add ETS and fuel surcharges to many invoices, and independent studies have found most voyages charged more than the carrier’s actual carbon cost. Kryoo recomputes each surcharge against the carrier’s own published formula and the allowance price on the sailing date, and disputes the difference like any other overcharge.
How do both parties use one shipment?
Either party can invite their counterparty to a shipment. Both see the same documents, milestones, and agent activity, with permissions controlling what each side can view and approve.
What makes Kryoo different?
Three design choices. Agents that do the work rather than organize it. Pricing tied to shipments and outcomes rather than seats. And a record shared by both parties from day one. Kryoo also never moves the freight and never bills the charges it audits, so every audit is independent.
Can Kryoo recover disruption-related charges like war risk surcharges?
Yes. Disruption manufactures charges: rerouting brings war risk surcharges and emergency diversion fees, congestion brings detention, and shifting trade lanes bring misclassified duties. Kryoo Recover audits each of these against the contract, the shipment record, and current tariff schedules, and disputes charges that are invalid or non-contractual, on the same success-fee terms as every other recovery.
We already work with a forwarder, or with a platform like Flexport. Where does Kryoo fit?
Above them, and neutrally. Kryoo is not a freight forwarder and never moves your cargo. Our agents run the paperwork and audit the charges across whichever carriers, forwarders, and brokers you already use, and because we have no stake in the freight itself, we can audit anyone's invoice, including your forwarder's. A forwarder's software serves its own network. Kryoo works for you, across all of them, and gets paid on what we recover and the shipments we run, never on moving boxes.
Why would you find money my forwarder or broker missed?
Because of incentives, not effort. The party that moves your freight bills you for it, so it will never be eager to audit its own invoices, and most in-house teams have no time to check every line against contracts, tariffs, and free-time terms. Kryoo has exactly one job on a charge, to check whether it is correct, and we only earn when money actually comes back to you. When the auditor is independent and paid on outcomes, the leaks get found.
